Elga Nikolova, Principal/ Senior Consultant

Elga’s career has been driven by a passion for learning and innovation. She has been fortunate to see a number of innovative initiatives through from conception to successful implementation.

Elga draws from over 20 years’ experience in the design, delivery, management and evaluation of services. A Fullbright Scholar, she holds a MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and a M.Ed. from Sofia University.

In 2005 Elga established e-NOVA Consulting with the mission to help organizations break new ground. In its nine years of existence e-NOVA Consulting has completed over 50 evaluation, needs assessment, research and program development projects. Its portfolio features local, provincial, national and virtual initiatives.

Rachael McKay, Junior Consultant

Following a successful career in corporate communications in the financial services sector, Rachael completed her MBA in Corporate Social Responsibility with distinction at the University of Nottingham. She joins e-NOVA Consulting as a Junior Consultant.

A natural communicator, Rachael brings to the team a diverse set of skills and expertise. Her experience ranges from producing internal and external communications materials, to measuring and evaluating the impact of social initiatives, to gaining and sustaining employee engagement.

Rachael is particularly passionate about establishing strategic partnerships between public and private organizations and envisions corporate Canada as having an increasingly vital role in serving and improving the social services sector in Ontario.

George Nikolov, Coordinator

George has been working with e-NOVA Consulting since 2009. He maintains project schedules, coordinates research activities, and provides technical and administrative support to the team. George has an eye for efficiency and often comes up with ideas that improve the work in the office.

George has a Bachelor's Degree from Humber College and is a performing musician.

Taking New Initiatives off the Ground


Skills for Change, Toronto
- conceptualized, planned, and implemented a suite of interactive online services including: self-directed study materials, career discussion boards, online workshops and an online mentoring program. The revenue generated from the sale of online training courses allowed the project to continue its activities beyond the initial pilot funding.

The British Council, Bulgaria
Elga was the first manager of the newly-introduced Public Relations Department. In less than two years she established over 50 media contacts, oversaw the development of a full kit of promotional materials for seven functional areas and established the media relations processes for a busy office with 15-20 high-profile projects going on simultaneously at any time.

American University in Bulgaria (AUBG)
- as a project Coordinator of “Business and Investment Opportunities Bulgaria” (BG-BIO) oversaw the development and implementation of a Web-based information centre that connected Bulgarian businesses to foreign investment opportunities. The BG-BIO Web site won the Silver Award of the Bulgarian Internet Society, and the Global Inventories Project Award of the EU and G7. The project was one of the early attempts for social entrepreneurship in the country and generated revenue from the sales of online marketing services
- established the events management function at AUBG. Created the Student Ambassador team and organized the first University Open House in the country
-initiated the first college health promotion program in Bulgaria. Established and trained a team of peer health educators.

English Language High School, Ruse, Bulgaria: Elga designed and implemented an experimental extra-curricular course on human development.
